Ran this morning. Time drastically improved. The first time was killer. I took a couple walk breaks for about thirty seconds but I ran most of it.

After about three weeks of not running, exercising, or eating well, I finally got the motivation to run.

Except I did it in the middle of the day and the air was so dry that I literally did not sweat while I was outside. Then when I got inside and did some yoga post-run I couldn’t keep myself dry.

I’m going to keep this up, and I really like using the RunKeeper app. It’s really helpful in tracking my progress.

But tomorrow I just have to wake up early to run or else the heat of the middle of the day will kill me.

Also I’m incredibly slow and walked a lot since I’m terribly out of shape.

I haven’t been nearly as serious about my health as I should be since I’ve started finishing school.

I don’t really have access to a gym anymore, and working out in my room is a drag, but I’m going to change this up.

I’m going to start doing yoga every morning for strength, using the weight that my brother has (it’s adjustable), and figure out a good place to go running.

I’ve been eating like complete shit, and sometimes its not exactly my fault (ie, I can’t exactly control what my parents make or buy for dinner). But the most important thing, I think, is that I will start drinking tons of water to hopefully flush out the bad shit I’m eating. It’ll also keep me way more energized.

But I am going to start eating better too, since it’s what is really important about my health.

I’ll try to post every day to keep this up.

Today I did some yoga which felt pretty good. I’ve got to keep it up.

Got another picture back from one of my shoots! =)
Sometimes in life, going against what is normal and expected DOESN’T have negative repercussions…A few weeks ago during a photoshoot I was assisting on, I realized I wasn’t going to get to run back to my office to drink water. (As you guys know by now, I carry that embarrassingly massive gallon jug around with me so I remember how much water I’ve drank throughout the day). I didn’t want to forego drinking water and get dehydrated and hungry during the shoot, so I brought the jug out to the set. At first, people stared. It was awkard and I was kind of embarrassed. Some people even made comments like “wow.. that’s a lot of water”. However as the day went on and my gallon began to dwindle, more and more people started coming up to me and commenting on how “healthy” I was. Before I knew it, I was explaining the importance of water and the girls were all running to get big cups of their own. By the end of the shoot, just about everyone there had made a serious effort to down more H20!
The point of me sharing this story is to illustrate that sometimes, when you take the initiative to do something healthy or different, people will balk at first…. but if you can get them to see the benefits by being patient and being a positive role model.. they will eventually come over to your side! In the end.. it’s their prerogative and not everyone will want to follow in your footsteps. But other people’s unhealthy habits don’t have to be yours if you don’t want them to. Create your own path, and lead the way! =)

This is incredibly true!
